Mt. Edith Cavell
from the alpine meadows
Brenda Guiled was born and lived in Jasper National Park until her mid-teens. In many ways, the Rocky Mountains remain profoundly her home.

Jasper watercolours
"Jasper Collage" done for a generous classmate who has hosted numerous reunions. She gave Brenda the carved face for a birthday gift; Brenda gave it back, as a watercolour painting. "Tonquin Valley"
where Brenda's grandparents spent their five-week working honeymoon in 1930. They later owned a tourist chalet (built by her grandad in 1928-29) at the base of nearby Mount Edith Cavell.

"Cleve Everett"
a kindred-spirit cousin who drowned in Jasper in 1971 at age 21. He rests there forever, as does Old Man Mountain, shown in the background of this and the "Jasper Collage".
